Feedback
General feedback from the University:
We sincerely appreciate your ongoing support and generosity. Through your contributions, students at the University of Surrey have greater opportunities for academic and professional success.
2025 Scholar 1:
Thank you so much for your support through the Ted Adams Scholarship. Returning to study as a mature student whilst balancing a young family is a challenge, but with this funding I am able to secure childcare and dedicate more time to my studies. Midwifery has been a long-standing passion of mine and I am so excited to finally begin my journey. The financial strain of being a student was one of my main concerns before starting the course, and I am now able to breather a little bit as a huge weight has been lifted, which I am very grateful for. The positive impact the scholarship has had on min and my family’s lives will be long lasting, not only are we financially in a better position, but I am able to model to my my children that it is possible to overcome challenges and achieve your dreams and never stop learning.
2025 Scholar 2:
I am truly grateful and can’t thank you enough for supporting me through the Ted Adams Scholarship. As a mature student with a young family to support, I knew I would need to supplement my student finance. This scholarship has meant I can wholly focus on my studies and really achieve a study/home life balance to help me get the most out of my Midwifery training.
2025 Scholar 3:
This funding has been absolutely vital this semester, specifically in helping to cover my transportation costs, mortgage and daily living expenses. It has also allowed me to significantly reduce my working hours. Ensuring I can dedicate the necessary time to my studies and reading days, without the constant worry of financial strain. Thank you for making my focus on academic success possible.
2025 Scholar 4:
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude for the scholarship you have generously funded for me. Without this support it would have been extremely difficult to make ends meet and continue pursuing my studies with focus and dedication. This funding will provide me with crucial financial stability throughout the year, allowing me to make meaningful adjustments in my life to fully commit to my academic goals. Your investment in my education is deeply appreciated, and I am determined to make the most of this opportunity.
2025 Scholar 5:
I want to say a big thank you for this privilege to be a Ted Adams scholar at the University of Surrey. This will be a significant financial aid to me throughout my studies. I would have been struggling to make things work financially, so this opportunity and aid has boosted my confidence and given me a sense of wholeness, knowing that I don’t have to worry about transport, childcare and costs of my course materials. I will put in my best to see that this opportunity given to me will not be in vain. Thank you so much, I am more than grateful.
